Summerside Primary School have Provision for Deaf Children
Our provision is located in the main school building. Our children use it as a base for their daily school life, from which they move to their mainstream classes, to be taught alongside their hearing peers.
All our children have a moderate to profound hearing loss and a Statement of Special Educational needs; some children may have additional needs. We provide a community within a community, recognising the importance of both inclusive education and separate, specialist experiences and teaching in order to ensure the best of both worlds.
