Elmgreen School is a Secondary School based in Tulse Hill, South London with a Sixth form, Elmgreen has a Hearing Support Department and currently supports a number of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Pupils, who are achieving high levels of education.
The Hearing Support Department is the Lambeth secondary provision for students with a hearing loss and accompanying communication and learning needs who will benefit from specialist Teacher of the Deaf and Teaching Assistant (TA) support throughout the school day. The department is located within The Elmgreen School, a state of the art, new-build comprehensive so enabling a high degree of inclusive education and involvement in social experiences.
The Elmgreen School is an 11-18 specialist co-educational Humanities College serving the local community. It is unique in being the first parent promoted school in England. It opened in September 2007 to its first cohort of 180 students. It is now housed in a new building on Elmcourt Road with extensive modern facilities. In 2012 it has achieved its first set of excellent GCSE results and opened a full and successful sixth form.
