Imaginate is the national organisation in Scotland, which promotes, develops and celebrates theatre and dance for children and young people.
We celebrate the best of childrens theatre and dance from around the world by producing the Edinburgh International Childrens Festival which showcases high quality, distinctive Scottish and international performances to an audience of around 10,000 children, their teachers, and their families each year. The festival has established itself as one of the best places for programmers from all over the world to see work of the very highest standard. It is also a place where artists meet, see and discuss work, and take part in professional development activities.
Imaginate has a strong commitment to accessibility and equality. All our events and opportunities are open to people from all backgrounds and abilities.

BSL: Eddie & The Slumber Sisters (for 8-13 yrs)
Friday 1st June 7pm
Location: Southside Community Centre
The Slumber Sisters, an all-singing trio whose job is to monitor dreams, decide to interverne when Eddies nightmares become increasingly wild, following the death of her grandmother. An Interactive show full of songs and humour.
BSL: Baba Yaga (for 7-12 yrs)

Vaselina lives the quiet life, working as a receptionist in a tall apartment block. But all that changes when she is forced to confront a terrifying resident who plays her music too loudly. A quirky new take on an old Russian folktale.
BSL: Expedition Peter Pan (for 7-12yrs)

Location: Traverse Theatre
A group of office workers find themselves transported to a kind of neverland, a twilight zone between dreaming and waking. Anything can happen her, if only you are willing to see it. Can these adults dream big again.
