Colchester Castle |
|
Colchester Castle is the largest Norman Keep in Britain and is built directly on the foundations of the Roman Temple of Claudius. The Castle houses a modern, award-winning museum that takes visitors through 2000 years in the life of Britain’s oldest recorded town. There are many hands on activities, including a chariot race in Colchester’s Roman circus and virtual reality reconstructions of the Norman Castle. We have BSL interpretation of the audio-visual films in the displays and on-screen or hand-held transcripts of audio information.
We are always happy for Deaf Visitors to contact us in advance if they have questions about access and what to expect when they visit. Access information is also posted on our website: www.cimuseums.org.uk .
