Provision for visitors who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing
All our Visitor Experience Assistants are trained in disability awareness, and we have an ongoing program of D/deaf awareness and communication training. A number of our Visitor Experience Assistants are trained to Level 1 British Sign Language standard.
We have loop systems in place at key information points and in the Lecture Theatre and Planetarium. A mobile loop is also available for tours. There is fantastic BSL videos on each screen at the Planetarium and is very deaf friendly.
