The Tricycle Theatre has established a unique reputation for presenting plays that reflect the cultural diversity of its community, in particular by Black, Irish, Jewish, Asian and South African writers, as well as for responding to contemporary issues and events with its ground-breaking ‘tribunal plays’ and political work.

The Tricycle Theatre operates a Synthesiser one-channel infrared hearing system.
The headsets are for anybody who would like the sound on the stage amplified and are available from the Box Office before the show for a returnable cash deposit (minimum £10) or an item of ID (e.g. a Drivers Licence). Each headset comes with a “quick start” guide explaining how to use the headset. The infrared system covers the Stalls and the Royal Circle – the box office can show you on a seating plan the coverage area in greater detail. If at any time you are unsure about using the headsets or necklaces, please speak to an usher or member of the Box Office for instruction.
